I chose Bert, it seemed to suit him. Noisiest eater EVER, and one of the worst smelling creatures I've shared a home with ;) (and there's been a few...! Mostly bipedal, mind you). He's being looked after elsewhere now for a bit, he developed a sinus infection or lungworm (not sure which yet) so is getting worming treatment & antibiotics. We had a teeny baby hedgehog one winter, called Fuzzypeg. We kept him in a doll's crib at night, wrapped up in blankets and straw, next to the woodstove in the kitchen (for warmth), on a high level of the clothes horse (to keep him safe from the dogs and cats).
