I am really bad at checking back for replies to comments... now we're out of the IAM bubble, it's a bit disjointed...
Repeat effect does sound awful in that context, I am shocked when I read it myself... by repeat effect I guess I mean repetitiveness or something... my brain is mush nowadays!

The adventure was just the rediscovery of the fact that meat is far more laborious to digest, and I felt like I was lugging a boulder around in my stomach, highly unpleasant and enough to put me off for quite a while!

"Repeat" effect? Sounds like a veiled referrence to wind, have you forgotten your English colloquialisms? Best make a trip back...?

Tuna is amazing. Good tuna, lightly seared, squeeze of lime... pretty much bugger all else to do. Serve it with sticky rice and soy sauce and I'm a very happy individual. Also my favourite nigiri topper.

What was this adventure, then?

Due to an unfortunate adventure with a (huge, delicious, perfectly cooked, 400g Porterhouse) steak, I am now off meat completely, but this still sounds remarkably complete and yummo (apart from the meaty bit, aha). My version of comfort food is toast with anything (current favourite: good quality tuna, mixed with spicy pumpkin and chickpea dip and chopped rocket) so requires minimal preparation and cooking, for maximum "repeat" effect.
